I have ordered from here about 10 times. Usually the food is delivered during the estimate provided, however, tonight it took 75 minutes for cheese sticks and potato skins. The potato skins had rubbery looking cheese on them that was inedible. The food also arrived cold. In the past, I had ordered the vegetable plate and most of the options I had tried were pretty good. Not sure what happened tonight, but I hope it is not a sign of the restaurant going down hill.

UPDATED for delivery on 11/17/2011 worst delivery yet. They left out items and didn't answer the phone when I tried to get it corrected!! Not sent but paid for: can of coke $1.31, pecan fudge brownie (for hubby) $4.15 - gave a bigger than suggested tip this time but never again!!

While the food is generally tasty, customers can expect to be called a liar (by the owner himself, no less!) if they receive the wrong order and call to ask for a replacement. I'll miss having a barbeque option close to work, but I'll never order from this restaurant again.

In the South, this food wouldn't even be served as a school lunch. The pulled pork was heavily covered in thick, sweet sauce, so much so that I had a hard time deciding if it was pork or actually chicken that I had been given by mistake. The potatoes bill themselves as real but tasted like a powdered mix. The mac and cheese...how does anyone mess up mac and cheese? I should just stop looking for decent barbecue in NYC, because apparently it doesn't exist. It certainly doesn't exist at this restaurant.

My buffalo chicken wrap was more like a burrito. It was disappointing to see a ton of rice where I expected salad. The flavor was ok, but nothing special.

Very surprised by the number of positive ratings for this place. On the positive side, the portions were big and extremely well-packed. Unfortunately, about everything else was negative. I ordered the pulled BBQ chicken - the BBQ sauce is pretty bad but the chicken was worse - all dark meat and not very good dark meat at that - definitely the least choicey pieces. On top of that, the "honey" baked beans have very little taste and are in a thin, runny sauce. Definitely not one I'll order from again!

Wow the portions are huge, any platter can shared for two and you will still have soe left. THe food is good comfort food, just be careful not to pig out!

Great gumbo, and super cheap. (Don't change that, TR&G, now that I've said it!) Rotisserie chicken is moist and delicious, and the is a great variety of sides. This food satisfies my occasional craving for some good ol' Texas food.

We finally tried Texas Rotisserie and it is fantastic. Feels like home-cooking for a country picnic. The broasted chicken is very tasty, and the 3-piece platter probably could feed 3 hungry adults. Big portions, tasty food, and quick delivery.

This place is just such an amazing deal. A 1/4 chicken with two sides and cornbread for like 8 bucks?! That actually tastes great? Amazing. I'm not normally a huge fan of bbq, but they do it so well here. Side salad has real veggies in it, not just some white lettuce and anemic tomatoes, which is really nice. And I just discovered their potatoes with parsley. Yum! Always quick with delivery, too, even though I live far away from them. Only thing is that I think the pulled pork and pulled chicken are better at Brother Jimmy's. Not to say it's not good here; it's just tough to beat BJ's for that (but the side choices are much better here).

Delicious, delicious pork plate bbq. Mozarella sticks were also amazing. Loses one star for the garlic potatoes, which weren't exactly what I was expecting. All around though a very good order, and came very quickly.

I am from Texas and it has been hard to find a places thats close to some of the places out there. However these places has hit the spot for me and I know that I will be going back when I have that craving for the B.B.Q!! I had the quarter chicken with mash potatoes and steamed vegies. The chicken was nice and juicy, the mash was great with the gravy they put on it (just needed a little more salt and pepper....which I did add =P). I also had some corn chowder, not that two impressives but probably one of the best that I have had here in NYC. I dont know if these was a fluck but I ended getting a soda with my order which I didnt order, but that just made the experience that much better!

Asked for well done burger, got medium rare. Wings were undercooked and soggy. (And some of them deformed). Yay! The seasoned fries that were small enough not to be utterly soggy were pretty good though. Gave them another try, wings were soggy, they left out the extra sauce I paid for. Booo.

The chicken was really good. The Mashed potatoes were a weird, semi-solid consistency. They were covered in gravy that had very little taste and barely covered 10% of the side dish. The thing that really put a bad taste in my mouth was the honey baked-beans. They were the worst thing i've ever had, i couldn't even eat them. The sauce was fine, but the beans themselves were compeletly uncooked...it was as if I were eating rubber pellets. They were terrible.

Had Delivery. Broasted (fried) chicken was really good, crispy and moist. Everything else - brisket, mashed potatoes, corn were ok. The sweet potato fries were limp. Will order gain just for that broasted chicken

They finally broke me. Since this is the only BBQ delivery place on the UES I keep on ordering....only after I forget just how bad their food is and how incredibly bad they are at getting the order right. This time they didn't put cheese in a burrito, wrapped to so badly it disintegrated, sent chicken that was so dry it tasted like particle board, the stuffing was hard as a rock and tasteless, and they delivered warm sodas. Never again.

Everything was absolutly aweful! The ribs were tasteless. They had packed the fried chicken in with the ribs, leading to soggy chicken. But, despite the quality, for the price the amount of food was exceptional.

Ridiculously fast delivery and holy crow is the beef wrap good. Only wish they would have mentioned it was also stuffed with rice. For future orders, I changed it to brown rice with no problem. The rotisserie chicken is very flavorful and moist. It's a little pricey, so I save some $ by ordering the whole chicken with no sides. The sides are good though, always simple and fresh, and the green veggies aren't overcooked or bathed in butter, which you often find at BBQ places. I really like this place for delivery. I'd get it more often if they lowered their prices, but overall i'm very pleased.

Pulled Pork was decent but mac and cheese looked like a soup which was pretty disgusting. A BBQ place needs to know how to make a proper mac and cheese and it shouldn't have the consistency of a watery cheesy soup.

The food came cold and not all food was delivered. I called and they said they were sending the food right away, and two hours later I had to call back because the food was still not delivered. The food that I did get was VERY salty. I will not order again.

I am continually disappointed with the food at this restaurant, I forget sometimes how bad it is and order from them when I have a craving for BBQ. The food is usually poorly cooked, the food is usually swimming in the too sweet, mediocre BBQ sauce that they seem to put on everything. I cannot recommend this restaurant at all.

Consistently very good food, sizable portions, and timely delivery. I've ordered and would recommend the Hamburger (request bun on the side to prevent sogginess) or the Rotisserie Chicken. (10+ orders)

This was some of the worst food that I have ever tried to eat. The ribs were not bad, but everything else was virtually inedible. Every side dish tasted as if there were a chemical on it. I told my daughter not to eat any of it and threw it out. Even the mashed potatoes were disgusting. Keep in mind that I weigh 250 lbs and I'm not a choosey eater.

The food is amazing and usually the service is very fast, but the last few times it has taken a very long time to get here. The 15-30 minutes is no longer a realistic delivery timeframe and it's very frustrating when you think that's what is going to happen.

Food is never good, it's always "OK" or worse. I've ordered from here a few times over the years and nothing has changed for the better, ever. I feel like they just have these plastic tubs of premade food waiting to be reheated and sent out. I cannot believe the good rating for this place! Seriously, I think I got food poisoning once. The only reason I order from here is if I have no other BBQ delivery option and I need me some BBQs badly and don't mind risking my life.

I was expecting a lot more from this place. The mac and cheese was mediocre at best way underseasoned. The creamed spinach was very watery and again underseason. Onion rings were decent, a little soggy though. I just about gave up all hope for this place and then I tried the cheesecake. HUGE slice (make juniors look stingy) and really really good. I'd return just for the desert.

The food is great here! I'm particularly fond of the mac & cheese, however, it's usually hit or miss. When it's good it's amazing, but when it's bad it's disgusting. They should be more consistent with the quality of the food they send out but besides that they're fast and have a great selection.

this is awesome comfort food for me. if it's rainy out or if i've had a bad day, an order of the pulled pork platter with the mac & cheese and sweet plantains as sides works wonders. delivery is quick and the portions generous. the only thing that has kept me from ordering recently is the delivery guy -- he peers into my apt when i'm signing the bill and he checks me out with a smirk on his face. t's just annoying.

The baby back ribs are always tender and delicious but the barbeque sauce is mediocre and in short supply. The sides are decent (hit or miss depending on the night). The chicken pot pie should be avoided at all costs.

This was the moist-est, most delicious rotisserie chicken I ever got from a delivery. The only problem was that it didn't arrive hot-hot (the sides were also cooler than I would have liked) but a minute in the microwave would take care of that. If you're looking for great rotisserie chicken, look no further!

The ribs and chicken here are good (as are the mashed potatoes). Delivery was quick too. We found that the dessert was only ok (apple strudel, chocolate cake, brownie). I will order from here again (but pick up dessert at my local bakery).

The barbecue sauce is excellent. Everything we order is excellent. Their barbeque pork and chicken is wonderful. All their sides are tasty. We have even gone to the restaurant and purchased containers of the barbeque sauce to use on meat at home. It is a little tangy which gives just the right bite to any meal. Prices are good and you get a good portion.

food was bad, ordered strawberry cheesecake, delivered a plain slice of dry old cheesecake with a container of red watery liquid on the side, ordered the brownie sundae received an old dry slice of brownie wrapped in plastic film never found the Ice cream or fudge as mentioned on the menu, called but they said that's what they call a "sundae" and that they sell a lot of it, very disapointed NOT RECOMENDED AND WILL NEVER RE-ORDER AGAIN
